Cabify acquires 200 electric Škoda Elroq vehicles for operations in Seville and Barcelona
Cabify continues its plan to electrify its transport services in Spain. The company has recently taken delivery of 200 Škoda Elroq units, which will be deployed for its operations in the cities of Seville and Barcelona. This marks the largest delivery of electric vehicles by the Czech brand in Spain to date and will result in the renewal of a significant portion of the fleet currently operating in the Andalusian capital.
This new acquisition follows the 120 Škoda Elroq vehicles that Cabify received in 2025, which are currently in service in Madrid. With this, the company now has a total of 320 units of this electric SUV, all acquired in just over a year. This initiative is part of the company’s decarbonization strategy, which aims to ensure that, by 2030, all trips booked through its platform are completed in zero-emission vehicles.

Seville to receive 60 new electric cars; Barcelona also set to expand its fleet.
The city of Seville will be one of the primary beneficiaries of this agreement. Specifically, the Andalusian capital will incorporate 60 Škoda Elroq units, which will replace a substantial number of the vehicles currently used by Cabify. The company, which has been operating in the city since 2016, confirms that approximately 100% of the kilometers traveled via its platform are covered by hybrid or electric vehicles.
Barcelona will also receive a portion of these 200 new electric SUVs, although Škoda did not specify in its statement exactly how many units are headed to the Catalan city. The addition of these vehicles will further increase the presence of zero-emission transport options within urban mobility services.
Alberto González, General Manager of Cabify Spain, highlighted the significance of the agreement: "This partnership with Škoda reaffirms our shared commitment to responsible and innovative mobility." The executive also emphasized that the company remains steadfast in its decarbonization goal for 2030—a year by which it aims for all its trips to be carried out in zero-emission vehicles.
Up to 720 kilometers of urban range and 29-minute charging times.
The 200 vehicles being delivered are the Škoda Elroq 85 in the "Selection" trim level. This configuration features an 82 kWh battery and offers an official (homologated) range of over 570 kilometers on the WLTP combined cycle. However, in urban environments—which is particularly relevant for the service Cabify provides—the stated range exceeds 720 kilometers.
The model supports DC fast charging at up to 175 kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 29 minutes. Furthermore, the units destined for Cabify are equipped with a heat pump, designed to optimize energy consumption and preserve range in cold weather conditions. These features are especially valuable for a passenger transport fleet, where available range and charging times directly impact the daily operation of the vehicles.

Škoda has now delivered 320 Elroq units to Cabify in just over a year.
This deal also marks a significant milestone for Škoda in the Spanish fleet market. The Czech brand has recently fulfilled other electric vehicle orders for major companies and institutions, including 167 Enyaq units for Endesa and 90 vehicles of the same model for the Civil Guard (Guardia Civil). Fidel Jiménez de Parga, General Manager of Škoda Spain, spoke positively about the partnership with Cabify: "We have delivered 320 Elroq units to Cabify in just over a year, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with this great company in the future."
