José Miguel Fernández Gómez is the director of Advanced Fleet Management Consulting. Since 2007, I have been working in vehicle fleet management.

I worked as a fleet manager for five years at URBASER, managing a fleet of 1,000 vehicles for street cleaning in Madrid, comprised of various types. of vehicles such as commercial vehicles, vans, passenger cars, or street sweepers.

Subsequently, I have been providing my services as an independent consultant on fleet management consulting and training projects with companies of all types and sizes in various countries and sectors, in both Spanish and English.

Since 2014, I have been a consultant for the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), carrying out auditing and consulting activities in the management of its fleet (6,000 vehicles) internationally, which is distributed across 100 countries.

I have carried out this project with two different companies, first with the best business school in France, UNHCR noreferrer">INSEAD, and later with the Canadian consulting firm UNIVERSALIA.

I participate in and organize conferences, workshops, and events related to fleet management, in collaboration with the Spanish Transport Association, of which I am a member of the advisory committee. I am also a fleet management instructor at the Spanish Confederation of Freight Transport (CETM).

I hold a PhD in Industrial Engineering, with international distinction from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, since I carried out research stays at the University of Liverpool (UK) and at the Royal Institute of Technology-KTH (Sweden).

I am also an Industrial Organization Engineer and an Industrial Technical Engineer specializing in Mechanics, and I hold a Master's degree in Operations Management, Quality, and Technological Innovation from Cepade, and another Master's degree in Industrial Organization and Management Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
